Mike started as a five-year design apprentice at Young Austen and Young. On completing his engineering qualifications he moved to Consulting Engineers Handcock & Dykes. His penultimate move was to the Mechanical Services Division of the London Borough of Redbridge. Mike joined Aston Heating as it was then back then, in 1978 at the beheast of the directors to increase help the business continue with its focus on engineering quality and professionalism.

Mike succeeded to the MD role in 1991 and became Chairman in 2006 after successfully steering the Group to new heights of professionalism and profitability

After starting his career as a Draughtsman in the 1970s Alan soon joined Local Government, initially at the London Borough of Havering, and subsequently the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

Alan joined the company in 1990, was made a Director in 1995 and has occupied the role of Managing Director since 2007.

Alan is a qualified Building Services Engineer with substantial design experience and offers our clients and contractors a wealth of knowledge and expertise.

After 8 years as a marketer for BT, Evan spent most of his career in the glamorous world of advertising including a long stint with Publicis Groupe, the French advertising giant, initially as managing director of Publicis Financial in the UK and then as world-wide planning director for the main international ad agency.

Evan initially joined the company board in a non-executive capacity in 2006 but took on the sales and marketing role in 2013.

After a career in international banking Jackie arrived at the company in 1996 with a wealth of project management experience and expertise.

Jackie leads the project delivery of several of our key contracts, especially in Facilities Management, and is integral to their smooth running.

She has particular responsibility for resident liaison, key performance indicators, customer satisfaction and the delivery of our partnering contracts.

Ian began his career within the plumbing and heating industry as an apprentice in 1992 joining the company 2 years later as a service and breakdown engineer.

He soon gained vast experience of the domestic sector and was promoted in 2008 to his current position of Contracts Manager.

Ian heads up our domestic heating and mechanical services team and he is responsible for the domestic design and procurement role within the Group.

Ian also has valuable knowledge and experience within the Renewables Sector oversees many of these contracts, including a number of solar hot water projects.

Denise has over 15 years’ experience in HR with her career spanning the public, private and third sector. Denise joined the company in November 2011 her role encompasses change management, operational effectiveness and strategic operations.

Jim’s background is in building construction he has managed a number of different mechanical projects within local authorities over the last twenty five years. Jim also has experience of data management and IT systems. Jim joined the company to manage M&E capital and revenue budgets.

Following an indentured apprenticeship Martin became a qualified electrical. Over the past twenty years Martin has gained a wealth of experience in the electrical industry.

In recent years Martin has advanced his knowledge in the design of fire detection systems, emergency lighting systems and renewable energy.
Martin is the Aston Group’s NIC EIC nominated Quality Manager and BAFE fire detection designer.

Andy is based in London and manages the London Office. He primarily looks after one of our major client’s, University College London. Andy, has been with the company 8 years having previously run his own company he has 34 years’ experience in the building services industry.

Luca joined the company in 2011 following a successful career with Ascham Homes. Luca is responsible for the management of our gas service contracts and plays a major role in the maintaining of our 100% compliance for all our gas contracts.
