Renewable Energy

Our industry must play a big part in the transition to zero carbon by 2050. We have a responsibility to make sure we offer energy-efficient solutions to all our clients.

Aston Group works with a network of trusted contractors to offer the best energy solutions for their clients.

We install Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) and Solar Photovoltaic (PV). We continually look to up skill our employees to keep inline with the changing technology and future needs.

Our fleet is being upgraded to comply with Euro 6 regulations and we are also upgrading some of our fleet to electric where possible and will look to increase this as the infrastructure improves.

Our Electrical department is continually consulting clients on how to get the best out of their energy and even store energy onsite through battery storage.

We work closely with our waste management partners, Bywaters, to recycle as much of our waste as possible, even turning some of it into clean energy.

We are undertaking an analysis on a cross section of London homes to ascertain what types of buildings need to be brought up to Government regulations first. The aim of the Government is to bring all homes up to a minimum of EPC Band C.

We continue to improve our impact on the environment both internally and externally.

Services include:

  • Solar PV and battery storage
  • Biomass boilers
  • Combined Heat and Power
  • Internal and external insulation
  • Air source heat pumps
  • Electric car charger points
  • Replacement of all existing glazing to Low E glass
  • Thermal energy performance evaluations

The advantages of solar thermal heating

Not only will our systems reduce your energy bills they will also reduce your impact on the environment by reducing your CO2. So you can reduce your hot water bills, reduce your carbon footprint and add value to your property.

Solar energy is a free renewable energy that is non-polluting and as long as the sun is here so is the energy it gives out. In the UK we receive sufficient sunlight throughout the year to provide the majority of the energy required to provide hot water heat for washing, showers, baths for a typical family property. For solar thermal to work most efficiently, the roof needs to be predominantly south-facing and at an angle of 30-40 degrees, without the risk of shading from, for example, nearby trees and buildings.
